Sweet Buzz Of Bang Klam
Bang Klam, Songkhla

Sweet Buzz Of Bang Klam
1 Day Trip / September 13, 2025 / Minimum 8 persons
Bang Klam is a fertile agricultural area, crossed by the Bang Klam Canal that connects to Songkhla Lake at Ban Ko Nam Rob, Khuan Niang District. It is a true hidden gem of Songkhla.
Once part of Hatyai, Bang Klam became its own district in 1995. Yet its roots stretch back centuries — to the Ayutthaya period and later waves of Chinese migration from Fujian during King Rama II’s reign. By King Rama V’s era, many Chinese also worked as laborers building the southern railway. Today, the small and charming Bang Klam Railway Station remains a living witness to the community’s history.
This one-day trip takes you on a leisurely train ride from Hatyai to Bang Klam. Experience the timeless charm of a classic rural railway station, then step into the fascinating world of stingless bees, whose golden drops of honey are prized as local treasures. You’ll taste fresh honey straight from the hive and enjoy a warm picnic lunch in the garden prepared by Tassapan — traditional Songkhla recipes passed down from grandmothers, made with seasonal local ingredients.
Along the way, discover how flavors and stories intertwine: the sweetness of stingless bee honey, the artistry of heritage cuisine, and the quiet rhythms of a community rooted in history. The day ends with a visit to Wat Ku Tao, an Ayutthaya-era temple of serene beauty, before returning to Hatyai by VIP van.
All of this makes for a gentle, heartwarming day filled with smiles and sweet memories.
